I like the actors involved, but found the production not up to par.

Heads are cut off in shots, the sound is lacking, the credits are way too long, the music is way too loud. And really I barely got any info on what this show is supposed to be about from watching two episodes.

Free is not going to keep me watching.Tamela and Leahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08824466301796027452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1522232293231604653.post-16780308648955776102009-12-07T19:41:04.175-08:002009-12-07T19:41:04.175-08:00Hachiomaru - I really liked the second episode, an...Hachiomaru - I really liked the second episode, and really feel like THIS was the premiere. I expect the issues with the sound will be there throughout season one of this show, as it was all filmed over one or two days.

About the music - not only am I not crazy abou tit, but I think it's unreasonable to dedicate 2 or more minutes of a 6 minute segment to music. Very few full-length tv shows have fll length theme songs anymore. This is not new - think about Seinfeld...all you heard, instead of a full theme song, was that quirky, little ditty that took maybe ten seconds.

I'm in love with Martha's leather coat.Snapperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03141538240915482048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1522232293231604653.post-41525629081517058232009-12-07T18:56:41.650-08:002009-12-07T18:56:41.650-08:00I like the actors on Gotham. But, I am interested in finding out more; where the story leads. I know Martha will deliver.
The second episode was a little more interesting, but, hard to hear..too much echo in the big room.
I want all these shows to succeed. I am willing to support them in hopes that all will be better than the daytime soaps we are left with.hachiomaruhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12447290418067074785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1522232293231604653.post-10960545744530118912009-12-06T14:04:40.370-08:002009-12-06T14:04:40.370-08:00I too love that there are so many different approa...I too love that there are so many different approaches being made. With Gotham, I love the opening (minus the music & logo). I find the camera work very pleasing and settings/locations/wardrobe look great. The first short episode left me with lots of questions and very curious, which is good. However, I feel like I know so little that I'm not invested. If I wasn't a soap fan with knowledge of the talented cast/director/producer, I don't know that I would find my way back 2 weeks later to learn more. But of course I did grow up watching ATWT, I do know they are talented so I will be tuning in to see who these characters are and how they are related. There certainly are enough soap fans (or former soap fans) to make that relevance turn into audience, assuming they know the series exists.

Snapper - always great to read your POV. thanks for the blog.DJ Bixbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09463888652274869794noreply@blogger.com
